Champion Amateur Golfer Makes Cut in 1st Professional Tournament

Mark Harrell had an outstanding amateur career. He just completed his senior year at the University of Alabama where he helped lead the Crimson Tide to it's 1st ever #1 ranking in the nation in each of the last 2 years. The Tide won their 1st SEC Championship this year when Harrell fired a final round 66. Following the Western Amateur last week, Harrell signed a representation agreement with 4U Management in Orlando, Florida.

He entered his 1st tournament as a professional tournament this week at the Hooter's Tour event, the Dothan Classic. This event is being held on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Highland Oaks. Harrell fired a 5-under 67 Friday to back up his opening round 71. Mark not only made the cut in his 1st tournament as a professional but is t-10th entering the weekend.
